Watermota help needed please.

Post by Russonz »

Today I bought a Watermotafrom some photos a friend sent me along with a few other interesting outboards as a bulk deal I couldn't refuse. The photo attatched is from the internet and I'm pretty sure it's the same model. Is this the 8hp model?
It's missing the magneto so I'm hoping that someone can help me identify the correct mag and if anyone can supply a photo also showing the drive I would be most grateful. Hopefully the mag will be something found on a stationary engine of the same period.
I imagine that this would be a reasonably uncommon outboard now and certainly is rare here in NZ.
Any information will be very welcome.
