SILVER CENTURY GEAR
CLINT
Hi Clint - there is an adjustment - the 1/4" rod between the cluth lever and the gearbox has a threaded lower end. To adjust, release the split pin at the pivot point on the end of the lever, and rotate a few turns anti- clockwise to get more clutch bite.
Is the problem definitely the clutch? Other problems giving similar symptoms might be weed/rope/fishing line behind the propellor, the drive spring end broken off and rotating within the prop boss, or possibly cavitation, where the prop. momentarily loses its 'grip' in the water. Rick.
