Not a tease, just sufficiently idiotic to post a link with a minuscule life expectancy...

The principle's most probably the same. What we don't know is how brightly they flash, of course.

Slow going this seagull building you wonder how many they made at the factory in a day . made some slight adjustments to the top to get a better fit and slimmed down the pull cord disc , made a stainless washer for the top .

have fitted the older style pump housing . had to heat it to get it on ,have changed and adjusted the gear cog , the one it had on it made more noise than the motor it self .I wish I had as many motors as some of you guys , having the pick of more parts can make a difference though I purchase the odd part if I really need it , Have mounted the yet as unfinished SD prop to get an idea ,will fire it up tomorrow .

If you don't mind me saying so I think the aluminium magneto cover looks better than a copper one would. The contrast and all that.

I don't mind you saying anything Charles or anybody else for that matter ( as long as it's constructive :) ) the disc on the flywheel is chromed brass , it never was going to be copper , others talking about such things may have caused that confusion . I agree with you the contrast and the difference make for the best look , with that in mind I considered having a black fuel tank but after seeing Huggies chromed tank , if I can find a good dent-less one to take to the platters I might try that . What do you think ?

Nice job! Personally I would go for a black tank, with the correct decal John can supply, as I think they look nice against shiny brass and ally. I would also replace the crankcase nuts with new shiny stainless and look into some fancy HT lead material. The Green Spark Plug co here in the UK do all sorts of HT leads, quite cheap. Would that set it off nicely?

Great project though. I'm loving it :D

Agree with Oyster about the tank. Shiny black with the gold and white decal, all that detail, it would look superb. Maybe narrow tank straps brightly chromed - I suspect yours are the broader ones, but I could very easily be wrong. Think of all that detail against the black.

I understand Oyster's point about the stainless, but I would rather go for chromed steel, or for static display maybe even brass.

Coloured fabric HT lead, oh yes, we've mentioned it before. I've been on the lookout for a suitable brass spark plug, but nothing's cropped up.

How about a custom made kangaroo skin tiller grip?
