Jinx is quite a nice runabout, if you google using the phrase I put in inverted commas you will find loads of free plans, all of which were meant for first time boat builders.

Pick any of the simple ones you fancy & go for it.

Have found another nice one.
This is the one I will try and copy.
But I will reduce the length, and beam to make it more suitable for a Seagull.

Also I found some pictures of the bottom shape.

Roll on the spring and better boat building weather.

You could very well be correct, as it is one of the random photos that appear on the AOMCI home page.

I'd be very suprised if a 102 cc Seagull could not push one of the very pretty hulls at quite a bit better than hull speed.

HA has proved before that he can build lightweight hulls, these are 12" ish almost flat bottomed boats built strong enough for a 30 hp+ motor, with modern construction methods & for a much lighter motor, he will be constructing one he can easily carry on his own.
I'll wager that he will be able to double it's hull speed!

I will build it slightly shorter and a bit less wide.

I would hope to get it built at about 20kg.

With an on-song century I have very little doubt that it would not be getting near three times its hull speed.( hull speed being about 5mph)
Perhaps if there is going to be a visit to the Crouch next year, I may be able to let it rip in the unrestricted bit.

Does John need a little prod to set a date in the diary for next year, as this years run was such a success.

It would be nice to have a calendar of events.
