Excess heat for transom clamps...........they work now.
Excess heat and the reverse lock mechanism .............now works
Excess heat and tilt and swivel...................now works.
Clean carby, make new throttle cable (4 bloody hours to get it right), find top dead center and replace condenser with Evinrude jobby.
Time spark to 3/16" BTDC....took maybe an hour just to do that. Wico set up a bit fiddly.
Fly wheel key from one of my Riptides so flywheel centres nicely.
OK what else is there..................
The original spark plugs Champion 17 spark like new but I have done the adaption for NGK B6ES which is mid range heat value. Twist of my hand on flywheel and "Snap Snap" sparks like new.
I am really pissed off as carb, and cable fitment is SO bloody fiddly? Only problem with these things............many beers and pacience. Bloody tiller gets in the way straight up!
There is a lot of carbon inside the engine so I will hold off removing barrels and do some chemical injection to clean it out when I fire it. QuickSilver make Magic In a Can for this.
