Superb job

Two questions, do you ever sleep, and have you rubbed your fingers away?
What are the differences in the gearbox compared to the later wartime engines?

OA gearboxes have nothing in common with any of the later gearboxes.

I'm currently doing an early SJM tank, just put a replacement end cap. It's taking many hours to get just so..

I must have spent 2 hours just preparing the end cap so it was a good fit before soldering.

You are doing a tremendous job there!
It is good to see another OA having "The Treatment".
What is the engine number?

Chrome doesn't photograph well, starting to look very good.
It's a lot later than yours Bruce, from the last 2 or 3 years of production, few long shafts were made/survived.
