I'm fairly sure that no Centuries ever left the factory with copper fuel pipes, plated or otherwise. SD and SN models did, and here's a photo of what it looked like.

The F, FV, FVP, LS and LM had plated pipes, either a plain 'U' shape or one with a curled section. These have all appeared on here fairly recently, so please forgive me if I rush off out to lunch rather than dig 'em out immediately. The elderly father in law is in town this week, and I'm what a good firefighter friend of mine calls 'smothered in petticoats' as a selection of family females is clucking and twittering getting ready for what anyone would think was a royal wedding or a coronation. Me (and I suspect Father-in Law too) are just going out for a steak and a beer.

I'll dig others out later if required. Maybe it would be a good idea to get the different types on one page.

Note the correct end fittings are soldered on ferrules which the nut then screws into the fuel tap or float bowl.

Threads are: Amal float bowl 1/4 BSP, fuel tap 7/16 x 19. For the villiers carb the banjo fitting must be drilled and the pipe soldered in place. There are some nice brass banjo fittings around..

I have bent copper pipe easily if filled with fine dry sand (kiln dried block paving sand is good) anneal first and crimp the ends.

Also have been told that if you fill the pipe with water, then freeze it that works as well.

Charles L was saying that it is hard to find 39/64" brass hex, 5/8" is only 16 thou oversize so would be hard to spot as being the wrong size, so may be a good place to start.

The male solder on nipple ends are readily available and easy to make, but I could not find nuts the correct shape, I made some last time made a pipe.

Can't remember the thread sizes.

Yeap, the correct nuts is difficult to obtain.

1/4" BSP? If I measure the threading of the float bowl it is around 1/2". What's going on? The only thing I am sure is that it is 19TPI.

About fuel tap nut I had realized after measuring that it is 7/16x19.

One SD fuel tube, correctly shaped, just needs a polish and then soldering up. Quite pleased with my first try at pipe bending I need to shop around for the bits a bit more before stocking up. The ones that go at the float bowl end were cheap enough, but the tap end ferrule and nut were £4 each
