I just want to show off actually.
Personally myself is 20 years of collecting from all over the world..................got to put a smile on someones dial aye!
Now we ad others that have done the same thing.............all of a sudden the passion is collectively justified.
Lots coming out of the woodwork lately enjoying that.
Boyd's passion of youth has been somewhat ...........invigorating so to speak.
Interesting times.

Hi all
After a great weekend, another Mandurah Boat Show has concluded. We had 18 outboards in total on display, and had literally hundreds of people come up and say, "I had a Seagull like that when I was young" or "I remember the good old Seagulls"!
A number of outboard motors were donated to our Chapter which we are most grateful for.

Hi all
Over this past weekend, the Westralian Old Outboard Chapter set up our first public display at the 2016 Mandurah Boat Show. The Mandurah Boat Show is the 3rd biggest in Australia, and the biggest in Western Australia.
We had 18 motors on display, ranging yearwise from a 1911 Evinrude RBM up to an 1972 British Seagull 40+.
Over the course of the show, we had hundreds of people come up to us and say "I used to have one of those!" or "I remember this one!"; the best known motor was the British Seagull.
We received multiple outboard donations to the Chapter which we are thankful for - those motors will be brought back to running condition and/or restored and will become part of the Chapter's Core Collection.

Just an observation really, why is it out of all the motors, restored and unrestored, from Anzani the Evinrude, the only motors that are not original are the Seagulls.
Still, its a nice collection of motors though.

Well done to all involved.
Spoke to Steve on Saturday arvo and was told things were very slow due to the wild weather.
Sunday must have been a better day for you which is great of course.
It's great to hear that some outboards have been donated to the club and that they will be saved. Are you able to share with us what they were?

Yes, there was wild weather on the Saturday arvo. I was not at the booth then as I was playing for a wedding.
We were donated several outboards -
4hp Evinrude
~4hp Japanese Outboard (Yamato or similar)
Unknown motor
Unknown motor
Evinrude motor (unknown hp)
Hanimex outboard
British Seagull 102
Green & Cream coloured outboard... exhaust manifold comes out from the side of the cylinder head; it is open flywheel...
I will post pics when I manage to get around and pick them all up; who knows, one of the unknown outboards might be a Marston
...
