I have just obtained 4 sets of Magneto Coils and contacts mounted on villiers base plates . there is one Mk1 set and 3 Mk2 . One set of Mk 2 is going to my friend Collector Inspector in Perth and I am looking to swop one of the other sets for a carburetter for my AD. Photos to be exchanged and all coils subject to testing ...just pay your postage to australia ( should not be much on a small carb )

so if you got a carb get in the cue ... should have them by the end of the week ....

e mail on here or gdayoldmate@yahoo.com.au

Hi, For some reason carbies always seem to be the part missing on a lot of deceased Seagulls or they have the wrong one on! Have others found this?

Cheers hugo.

Please Hugz dont way lay my post with a side issue ..if you want to discuss missing carbs start your own post ..

If you have a carb to offer in exchange this is the place for that matter only.

I am making this offer for the benifit of SOS members who might need a spare coil/contact set ...If I get messed about I will just put them on ebay.

Leaving aside the 'where should it be'; can you explainj a bit more about Mark 1 and Mark 3 Villiers? Different people understand different things about mark numbers.

Any chance of a pic - maybe on your site?

And, yes, there are frequently carburettors missing from Seagulls. Maybe it's because they are the most delicate part, the Amal slides do jam up if corrosion and contamination gets bad. Then it's easier sometimes to just take one from something else. If it fits it usually seems to work, and that's much cheaper than buying a new one.

As often quoted this is the most read section

When I have them and all tested I will get photos and test resuslts on here for you ....look out those carbs now please !!!!!
