Re: New boat
That is a handsome wee boat. Looks brand new. What's the problem with the gull? If it is just blocked up water passages I have found a few seconds with kettle/ steam iron de-scaler squirted up the block outlet clears it very effectively but watch where it goes as it is nasty stuff on handy wandies etc.
Hope you get her shipshape asp.

Re: New boat
Yes brand new. The cooling water stops after a short while but in the process of removing the head to clean out the water ways.
Re: New boat
Very nice indeed, what's the spec of it? Looks a nice wee size.
Happy sailing.

Re: New boat
Three inches too long then (is Dawlish near Lerryn)
If it is not a rude question, if this is a new boat how much was it?
(Please don't feel that you need to answer this question, I will mind my own business)
From the look of the build quality and finish I would guess that you would not have much change from £2000.

Re: New boat
I'd guess at less than 60 miles T that the boat was made in Devon or Dorset for a bit over a grand.
How wrong am I?

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
Re: New boat
It cost £1395 built by River Teign rowing boats it's the first boat i've had that didn't need restoring or building it makes a refreshing change

Re: New boat
Thanks for info Dave - I had a look at the River Teign Rowing Boats site - lovely boats and very good value for money. May pay them a visit as need another couple of boats to fit each of my Gull flock - hmmm, hope "Mission Control" does not read this forum.......if so might have a problem

Re: New boat
Hi Dave (and everyone else)
How are you liking the boat, I am looking for a similar thing myself and just wondered how she sails. In your opinion would you say it would handle in-shore sea work as well. What seagull are you running with it?
Thanks
Ian

Re: New boat
Hi Ian i find the boat very stable not in the least tippy she is very sturdily made i use mine in the teign esturary and come the better weather will have no qualms going further in her my seagull is a forty+ so i guess around 2hp.

Re: New boat
Thanks for the reply Dave.
Is it a long or short shaft that you have on? It looks like a long shaft.
I have both a 40+ and a 100 but they are both short shaft.
Regards

Hi it is a short shaft and is ideal for the boat.
