Saving Old Seagulls

Hi, my name is Skip and I am new here and I have acouple of question I need an answer to.I was just given a 40 minus and a gear box for a 40 Plus. I was just wondering if that gear box will go on the 40 minus. Just a thought. My engine does run ok now, but needs a new fuel line. The other question is was the pull rope end the T type handle or the little half round ball type. Thanks for any help you can give me. I am in Omaha NE. and there is nowhere in this frozen city or state to find any parts for these engines Thanks, Skip.

As far as the T-type handle or a little half round ball type is concerned, it all comes down to, which one would you like to be beaten around the head with, when the cord gets stuck.
