Had great fun reading both!

Did you know Seagull could be put in for the Dept of Envitronments 'Green Apple' award for being enlessly repairable!

Majority of damage to environment done in the production of a motor, smelting the Ali and iron etc. by keeping them going for 40 years we save all that pollution!!!!!?

You can use biodegradable 2 stroke oil too and 3 weeks later all will have reverted to vegetable matter, clever!

But it takes me weeks (months?) to use a bottle of 2/-, so will I justend up with a bottle of green slime in 3 weeks? Otherwise it sounds like a great idea - but does it make my engine smell like a chip pan when its running?

The second YBW link is to my thread. When I first aquired the engine I was worried in case I didn't know how to stop it. I needn't have worried! The problem quickly turned into one of how to start it.
Then I was told about SOS, so started a new thread here in the Help forum.
It's been really useful, with lots of good tips to follow up. I may be about to crack the problem - it seems someone may have grossly upset the ignition timing - I'll find out tonight if I get a chance.
