Bermuda RISR 2012 June 16th, bad weather June 23rd.

Hi everyone….

Just to give everyone an update – we had a committee meeting last eve – and wanted to tell everyone of what came out of it…

1) Race profits – This year – we are all going to be supporting Thad Murdoch’s marine program BREAM – Bermuda reef Ecosystem Assessment and Monitoring program…. A worthy subject in this changing world climate situation.

2) Venue – Spanish Point Boat Club

3) Sponsors – Heineken and Rubis Shell for the crash boats

4) Catering – Wilks Catering has kindly confirmed their availability again this year – thanks Kirk…

5) DJ – Sara (I think) is doing it again.

6) NEW RACE CATEGORY in the Sports engine arena – as some Sports engines are being modified – so there will be a ‘Modified’ Racing Sports, “Stock” Racing Sports and the Cruising Sports category – (the latter is longer than 3 ½ hours

7) Reminder – any Old/New Motor seagull engine with a pipe – is category F – Unlimited – this is NOT the Sports engines….

8) Crash Boats – as normal – we would ask that you contact me if you want to be a crash boat - and where you want to go..

9) Prizes – any gift certificates or prizes you can rustle up for us – would be gratefully received – obviously closer to the time!!!!

10) Trophies – remember to get them engraved if they need to be done – and please clean them before they are returned….!!!

Lastly – Brian Anfossi (anfossimarineltd@ibl.bm) discovered a whole box of cotton polo shirts from the Chummy Race that he organized – so if you would like to buy one off him – please contact him. All proceeds will go to BREAM…. So be generous….!
Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.
