Forty plus car boot prices

Hi, went to the local Torksey Lock car boot this weekend.
There was a sad looking 40+ on one stand. It was not solid but the guy had no knowledge of how long ago it was run.
The fuel pipe was all wrong, it was filthy and the drive shaft was all green with corrosion.
The price, £40 and he was not budging, I thought it was too much of a risk.
It seems that the value of the boot sale items is following ebay!

Mast of the time they Just look them up on eBay and ask the going price, that goes for most things at boot sales.
I had one not that long ago, He had a Seagull and what look like a Yamaha, the Yamaha or what was left of it looked like it had been used as an anchor, with no covers, tank, anything, he wouldn't sell them separately.
In the end I did got the gull for £40 a little more than I wanted to pay for it, but I did let him keep the anchor.
After getting it home and removing the add on ugly recoil thingy, it looks like a nice 58-59 C100 and a runner.

The best one I did see at a boot sale, was a seagull on the back of an old dead jet ski and he did ask for silly money.
