Bing Carb, Fuel Level, Forty Plus

When your bing carbed engine is working fine, whereabouts is your fuel level in the translucent fuel bowl?
I only have one Bing with the white bowl. It is on my 76 Featherweight.
To be honest I do not recall a "level" at all............when the fuel tap turned off the fuel does drop down quite smartly.
I do not think that any adjustment is there anyway to lower it.
