Hello there, the cable on all the 400 series carbs is fixed the same way. To release it push the cable towards the airslide, you will see the end appear at the lower end of the slot with two wide ends. It will come out of the lower end hole, then slide it up the grove and let it go into the top hole. It will then pull out or rather it will have come out of the slide. The needle clip has a cutout that the cable passes through and then it goes throught the large spring and the top. Re-assemble is the reverse, put a little grease on the spring and cable.

Hope this helps,
Regards,
John
