century parts difference
Can you tell me the difference between a silver century and a century 100? Can I interfit parts, like crankcase to cylinder head? Thanks!

Re: century parts difference
Hi Red,
The crankcase on the century 100 and the silver century are different.
This is the century 100 crank case , and this is the silver century crankcase . The transfer port of the silver century won't mach up to the crankcase of the century 100 and vice versa. You may be able to grind out the crankcase to match, but I have never tried. The porting of the century block is also different from the silver century, with the carb inlet port on the cylinder block being round in the century and rectangular on the silver century.
I'm guessing that a silver century block on a century crankcase will have a more restrictive flow, under powering the head, but you may be alright going from Century block to silver century crankcase. Someone please correct me if I've got this wrong!
Hope this helps, Ed
