I have just managed to acquire a Seabee 4 outboard with spark issue and wondering if anyone knows of where I can find any off manuals or instructions to begin stripping it apart?

On the nameplate it has JLO Rockwell model L77L, not sure if that helps?

JLO (also spelled ILO), Esperanto for Good Tool) is a German manufacturer founded in 1911 to service the railway industry.

They built light motorcycles from 1923 to 1925 using their own engines of 117cc, 132cc, 147cc and 170cc. Their engines proved very sound, and the demand for them led to them focusing on engine manufacture. By the 1930s they were exporting engines throughout Europe.

The company was sold to North American Rockwell Co. in 1968, and changed hands again some years later to another American firm.

They made utility engines both horizontal and vertical shaft as well.

Some oem outboard makers attached them to cheap marine legs.

Post pics of the engine (not the leg) and I will see what I can do...

Hi thanks for getting back to me, these are the photos I managed to get minus the bits I have stripped off so far to see where the spark issue may be.
