Seagull 2

Post by dartmoor »

Hi

Just acquired what I think is one the last seagull featherweight’s made. TSEF286A2. No breather hole in exhaust, twist grip throttle, and modern locking thumbscrews. All 100% original. Appears to have had very little use - runs very sweetly and the quietest 40 I have ever heard running. Great piece of history! You see though how in the early 90’s it would have struggled to sell - very heavy for 2hp, and much bulkier than a suzi or yamaha of the same power. And 25:1 rather than 50:1. I love the fact that this one is original and probably in the last spec for a 40 that was on sale.
