Re: Spark plug and gap.

No pics.....a sad thing for trying to help aye. No pics detail of the motor either? I think that a real board such as t...

HI tony

A new gasket is needed.

The three layers are kept together by a central crimp.

John has them.

Re: Tool help

Has anyone found the best spanner to remove the top leg nut on the exhaust side? It is impossible to get a normal spanner or socket in there as the nut is so close to the leg on one side, and not much further from the exhaust on the other side. Not that hard....go to ebay and search 1/4" BSF x...

Re: needle roller crankshafts made for British Seagull motors

Not too sure that would be something for the average Joe.

Good try but I for one am not convinced that any gain would be realised.

I see that you post such idea on SM as well.

Just my 2 cents is all aye.

Re: Britannia outboards for sale

If this was offered but a few years ago I would have snapped these up.

Now I just get by with my super.

Freight to Australia would be just devastating to me now.

Best of luck with another punter aye.

Re: Recoil start, after market or original?

It rather looks like your featherweight has been upgraded by it's previous owner whose upgraded the ignition with a Wipac mk4 CDI, that from the look of the flywheel cover was recycled from a 170. The lower unit & prop also look a bit newer than this ones date of manufacture, but I'd have to as...

Re: Recoil start, after market or original?

By that engine number May 1965. Siba did a kit to go on these. External frame support I think.

At that time an aftermarket thing I believe.

Would help further if you post a pic....we all love pics aye.
