I have no idea why you have not investigated this site.....I refer to "frequently asked questions" and other links. Standard available now, anywhere , Champion D16. Gap? .... well start at 0.025".....adjust up or down for best operation for your engine on a transom.....NOT in a bucke...

A new gasket is needed.

The three layers are kept together by a central crimp.

Has anyone found the best spanner to remove the top leg nut on the exhaust side? It is impossible to get a normal spanner or socket in there as the nut is so close to the leg on one side, and not much further from the exhaust on the other side. Not that hard....go to ebay and search 1/4" BSF x...

Not too sure that would be something for the average Joe.

Good try but I for one am not convinced that any gain would be realised.

It rather looks like your featherweight has been upgraded by it's previous owner whose upgraded the ignition with a Wipac mk4 CDI, that from the look of the flywheel cover was recycled from a 170. The lower unit & prop also look a bit newer than this ones date of manufacture, but I'd have to as...
