pullstart -non seagull

Post by mrdraddy »

long shot this but does anyone have a pullstart assembly for a yamaha 3.5 air cooled single? Got this motor with a dinghy i just bought, its a runner and in reasonable condition, seems a shame to scrap it.
alternatly does anyone want it? will sell/swap etc

Hi Paul
I've got several boxes of Yamaha bits and I'm sure there is a recoil in there somewhere, I'll have to check. If I have a recoil I'd be happy to sell it to you, alternatively if you want to swap the engine I do have most Seagull parts (old and new) if there is anything you need.

The only reason i want a pullstart is to increase its value when i sell it as its not really my thing(ie; non-seagull!)I could do with the 2 threaded rods that hold both sides of FP transom clamp together along with the plastic "pawl" that holds the motor up when in the raised position,oh and a tank decal fora 102. If you can help with any or all then the yamahas yours.
It really doesn't owe me much to tell the truth,i only gave £40. for it along with a 9ft dinghy! :D

Hi Paul
Have checked through all my boxes and I'm really sorry but no recoil start! I can't believe it, everything else except that.
Sorry to have wasted your time.
