Anyway, first image simply shows the single wrap around decal. Earlier units comprised a three piece decal set ie as mentioned earlier in this thread.
Marking edges here to facilitate measurement and reproduction. After the outlines are drawn, I write the all measurements on the decal (including font size etc) and take more photos for my records.
Once that’s out of the way, the tank is prepared for paint. You will note from the previous pics, this one had quite a large amount of surface rust and therefore needed additional prep time. On the plus side however, there were only a couple of minor dings and as these would be covered by the decal (once reproduced) I felt there was very little to repair them.
Tank painted and refitted temporarily. Based on the way it lines up, I expect there should be some spacers (possibly rubber) between it and mountings on the crank case so some additional research or input from other Seasprite owners is needed here. Carb was also tempiorarily fitted and removed ie still requiring repair to the mounting flange and painting before final assembly.
OK, as for and the ‘missing’ words in the starting and lubrication instructions, this is where I’m at so far. Only a few missing words (blue x's below) in the lubrication instructions now need sorting to complete. Any contributions (even guesses) would be greatly appreciated.
