Re: An FVP in USA
Throttle cable : There are little cylindrical ends cast on some how , and the outer black cable has special ends crimped on. It would take the special tools to do those ends , I think.... So I guess I will just use the 12" long cables.
Piece of wood holding the Seagull: That is my universal 2X6 ( inches -that is) Have used it in my bench vice for 35 years.... It gets a lot of wear. WB

For the more common seagull I go down to Wilkos, get a £2.50 cycle cable inner and outer, cut to size and re-lead the ends, job done.

Re: An FVP in USA
I used a bit of blue tack to mold a new lead lever end and drilled a hole in plywood for the carb end. Remember to lead the cable before inserting into molten ends. Clay would be better.
Re: An FVP in USA
Solder a bit of copper pipe to the ends it is a dan sight easier! It is a 10 min job
The ends can be made if you have a lathe or if your carfull a drill. They are held on with the pressure of the spring tension in the carb, And or a small punch mark with a centre punch.

Interesting Tam, do they just pull apart?
It would be a lot better if them caps were not so hard to get hold off, I have some, but they are getting harder and more expensive all the time.
What's the spec of them tubes Tam, I may make one or two, as I haven't got any of this style.
