Post by John1952 »

I am on the lookout for a block for a Silver Century Plus, WSPCL 1628 F9,
JUST PICKED UP A SCRAPPED ONE AND AM GOING TO TRY TO GET HER RUNNING AGAIN. I AM HOPEING THAT IT WILL ALSO RUN ON 25-1. IS THERE ANY WAY OF CHECKING THIS?
THANKS' GUYS, JOHN.

I think we all could do with a few spare blocks for the silver! I believe they have been remanufactured.

John you might well find that a good used cylinder will cost you more than a resonable complete motor.
Try John He often has them & also stocks new ones.

Perhaps you should just strip this motor for spares, which are always worth having, & start looking for a runner.

have to agree with Charles

get a basically good one, and titivate by all means

regrettablly experience has taught that basket cases (unless very old ones ) are seldom worth the effort ...but a bloody good training ground !!
Neal...errrr... an ON, OP, 2xSD, F, 3xSJP, LLS, 2xFV, FVP, FPC, CPC WPCL, WSC, and a few eggs hatching, hopefully
