yup ...
definitely up for that ....
another bit of countryside ..another bit of water

by then H-A will have got his demo beauties well and truly fully functional, and I can keep my hawsers stowed ....(sorry mate, couldn't resist )

'course here on the Thames one has a far superior class of oily rat-bag to go Gull-ing with, but please be assured we don't mind lowering our sights to come across to fraternise in Essex ....innit peeps

Essex I’ve heard of that, I think I could find the time and drag the boat out for this outing.

As you will be buzzing directly past my mooring would be churlish of me not to attend really!

Me too, though I am concerned about the rate of tide on the Crouch!

My mooring is at Burnham and I know from bitter experience it takes a long while for my Minus to plug a foul Spring tide there!

However, it will be good to have an East Coast Seagull Enthusiasts Rally

yes ..of course ...the tide ...that sort of twice a day thingy where your water gets nicked and then given back to you

not the sort of thing we have to worry about too much in the Thames ...we sorted all that long ago

did a bit of Google Earthing here ...just to get a feel of it all ...

Over there in the East, are ALL your waterways a version of liquid mud ?

Rather used to the Scilly Isles, (try Google Earth ) with those conditions you can put up with a 6 metre tide ...
And yes it is as good as it looks, albeit a bit blowy for the poor old TeaBag from time to time

Still, double slab reef in the main, completely furled Staysail, jib bending the bowsprit like a twig ..
Yup, VERY exciting surfing down a 3 &1/2 metre swell on a beam reach ...you can bung all the elegant displacement hull speed calcs right out the window

nothing like a bit of fear assisted helming  suction from rectal sphinctre did rather adhere one's bottom a bit firmly to the thwart

I'm looking forward to it. Might have a Seagull ready by then and persuade HID about the romantic two nights B&B in that charming pub. Glad they cater for dogs as well - that'll piss off C. UK

Also pack the Tohatsu under a thwart . . .

RBT your slandering me, I love dogs, I bought a Korean cookery book the other day that had several chapters about dogs.

The stir fried with rice noodles, ginger, red chillies & coconut chapter really made me want to get one.

He is in training to kill at this very moment - your picture is on a placard by his bed.

Oh no - he's trying to leap onto passing fast hydroplanes . . .

No chance your dog is very fond of me, he's stopped destroying my slippers.

I was hoping you wouldn't find those naked pics of me, but I do look impressive in my birthday suit, even if it does look like it needs ironing.

Stop emailing the dog.

He's not called Brian -

TRW: My 40+ is frequently at full bore up at Hullbridge if I am loaded or the wind is strong ( I am referring to my inflatable and the conditions, not me ) still if we are that slow we can pick up a pint at the Anchor in Hullbridge on the way, probably won't need to stop ......

Liquid mud? um ....... yep fair description. although I have seen it when the visibility in the water can be as good as an inch or even two.
