Standard oval brass tank was four pints.

Long range oval brass tank (same section but longer) was five and a half pints.

Extra long range tank - either steel or later on plastic - one gallon.

The forties are reckoned to burn 1.7 pints per hour at between 1/2 and 3/4 throttle

Hope that helps.
