I think I've figured out what you Poms might be up to!

I was looking at pictures on SOS of early Marston outboards. In particular the rather curious 'parsnip' exhaust pipe. This gave rise to an investigation. I back engineered / computed the exhaust section profiles & length & made an interesting discovery.

The exhaust pipe forms an almost perfectly tuned expansion chamber design when the engine exceeds 35,000 rpm. A Plan so Cunning you could pin a Tail on it & call it a Weasel. I suspect highly strengthened engine internals to withstand the loadings. Also, suspect use of self oxidising liquid rocket fuels

Don't protest too much Charles, or they'll realise we've been rumbled!! I haven't quite seen 35K come up on my dyno though - need more experimentation with the fuel methinks.
My peroxide is out of date - is some old Nazi stuff (not that I have a problem with old Nazis) I did pm this didn't I?
