Where the flywheels painted when they were new.I have 3 gulls 2were golden 1 is silver. Stripped paint off of golds and painted 1 black it actualy looks good. So now I am wondering should I re-paint the silver.

My little flock is growing I now have 3 all the information I have is #1 FI300M0= Forty(featherweight) 300th made december 1970.#2 is CP19537L=Century Plus 1957-1967 longshaft ????.#3 SJM34979=Forty Plus ?????. I took Vic's advice and turned the base plate . It ran when first tryed now trying to start then dying . I know they dont have timing marks but I might have to invent some .By that I mean mark it turn it slightly as in advance /retard.Will let you know how I get on.Been on holiday this week and ...

As some of you already know I broke the shaft on my featherweight(long story)I got a replacement shaft ,fitted it ,then found the woodrift key to be 90 degrees out so its impossible to adjust points (wipac).Any suggestions.

Can somebody tell me the fuel capacity of a tank off of a featherweight engine the tank is oval in shape.

As I said I didnt have the correct drill for the socket .Had the plug out and grounded I had removed the pull start plate and set about it for about 1min with the wrench I knew it had sheared when the zipping noise got louder, it left me with 2 threads and no nut to use to chap it ut with so now ...
